CKCU

Jeff discovered Carleton University's student radio station CKCU while he was a qualifying year student at St.Pat's College on the Carleton campus. At that time it was a carrier current station feeding the residence and lounges. His first series there, a weekly comedy show called "Azort Starbolt: Space Android" had a large and loyal following.

Jeff was part of the team that successfully applied for an FM licence for CKCU, the first campus-based community station in the country, and for a short time the only student station in the country to have been granted a commercial licence (later modified).

Many individuals from this era of CKCU went on to successful careers in broadcasting and media.

These pages are relics, the shows may be heard on the Strangermedia site.
